Lacey is facing a variety of drug related charges.

(KATU.COM) PORTLAND, Ore. – Three overdoses at Multnomah County Jail are being pinned on a Portland woman who police say hid the drugs inside her body.

Channing Lacey was arrested for possession of fentanyl, a drug 80 times as potent as morphine.

It’s the drugs police couldn’t find that led to the overdoses.
Brandon Hubbard, Lacey’s boyfriend, had been arrested for selling the drug in January. Police monitored their phone conversations once he was locked up and the couple kept talking about tomatoes.
Police suspected “tomatoes” was code for drugs.
Court documents detail the couple’s conversations, with Hubbard telling Lacey to look for the “tomatoes.” Once she did, investigators say Lacey planned on selling some of the “tomatoes.”
Police arrested Lacey with as much as $35,000 worth of the drug on her.
Within a couple days of being arrested police say informants told them she tried to sell “White China” once she had gotten the drug out of her body.
Court documents say Lacey knew how dangerous the drug is, admitting to them she had overdosed on it several times.
