Osbourne, 29, is facing a variety of charges including dealing in stolen property.

(BTLS Staff) WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – A 29-year-old Winter Haven woman was arrested Thursday for stealing copper wire from several Lowe’s locations in Polk County.

Heather Hamm Osbourne is facing seven counts of petit theft, four counts of dealing in stolen property and four counts of giving false information to a second-hand metals dealer.

The suspect was booked into the Polk County Jail where she is being held without bond pending her first appearance before a judge.

According to a Polk County Sheriff’s Office report a Lowe’s loss prevention officer positively identified Osbourne as the person who took $300 copper wire from their store in Auburndale in early April.

Investigators say she also pilfered $278 worth of copper from the Winter Haven Lowe’s on three occasions – April 13th, 18th and 21st. On April 21st and 22nd she took $280 worth of the metal from the Lakeland Lowe’s location.

After each incident the Osbourne took the copper and fraudulently sold it to Gregco Recycling in Lakeland. This is not the suspect’s first brush with law enforcement.

In December 2012 she was arrested on narcotics and traffic violations. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
