Fuchs, 26, is facing one count of having sexual relations with a minor.

(KIROTV.COM) BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Washington – The Bainbridge Island Police Department has concluded its investigation into allegations of inappropriate conduct between Bainbridge High School teacher Jessica Fuchs and a BHS student.

Police arrested the 26-year-old female teacher at Bainbridge High School.

Students at Bainbridge Island High School expressed shock that one of their teachers has been accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student.

“I really didn’t think anything like this would happen at BHS,” said Tai Smith

Science teacher Jessica Fuchs, 26, was arrested late Thursday following a two-month investigation by Bainbridge Island police. A probable cause affidavit obtained by KIRO 7 reveals graphic details of the accusations, including Snapchat messages between Fuchs and the male student.

She faces charges of sexual misconduct with a minor, communicating with a minor for immoral purposes and tampering with a witness.

According to a probable cause affidavit, prosecutors claimed  the communication was sexual in nature and detailed sexual activity, including  a sexually explicit video titled, “For my baby.”

Investigators also say Fuchs used a school laptop searching “how to permanently delete cellphone records”

Once under investigation investigators said she sent this message to the teenager: “Well protect me as best you can. Remember NOTHING COMES OUT EVER! About anything, you have been to my house only once. Lie like you have NEVER lied before and try to get your mom to side with you completely and say this was all a misunderstanding!  And tell the investigator that!”

Bainbridge Island School District Superintendent Faith Chapel said Fuchs was placed on administrative leave in February when the allegations first surfaced.

“It’s certainly unsettling and deeply disturbing to have these kinds of allegations with a former staff member,” said Chapel.
Fuchs was jailed on $200,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear in court to enter a plea on Monday.
