Unidentified man robs Pinellas Park convenience store

The suspect brandished a can of pepper spray and demanded cash early Wednesday.


(BTLS Staff) PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – Authorities in Pinellas Park are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and tracking down an armed robbery suspect.

The incident occurred just before 3 am Wednesday at the Circle K location in the 4800 block of 62nd Ave. North.

According to a Pinellas Park Police Department report the suspect entered the store, placed an item against the door to prop it open and then asked the clerk for something behind the counter.

The store employee motioned for the suspect to move over to another register. As he slid over the unidentified man pulled out a can of pepper spray and demanded cash from the register.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect left the store heading south on foot. On his way out he took the time to kick away the item that was holding the door open. The man was wearing gloves and his face was concealed by a gray-colored hooded sweatshirt.
