US Coast Guard seizes almost six tons of cocaine estimated to be as much as $181 million from a vessel off the Central American coast
Although the bust, which took place in the Pacific Ocean about 200 miles south of Mexico, happened on July 18, it was not announced until Wednesday.
This video shows the operation, including a look inside the submersible at its crew.
Chief Warrant Officer Allyson Conroy said the crew also apprehended four suspected smugglers.
The value of the seized batch of cocaine is estimated to be as much as $181 million.
