Research says wearing make-up can save the lives of elderly women

A bizarre finding emerged from a study conducted by scientists at the University of St. Etienne, France, who were analyzing the impact of make-up on self-esteem. The study was carried out on 100 women aged 65 to 85. The finding reveals that the process of slapping on lippy and mascara boosts balance and coordination by acting as a type of stretching.

Scientists discovered that cosmetics had a powerful effect on health of older women. The women were fitted with insoles to test their centre of gravity and a belt to monitor their posture. The Experts found that those who put on make-up everyday had much better balance and posture and suffered fewer falls.
