Reporter tweets while having a heart attack

WASHINGTON (KABC) — A reporter may go in the history books as the first person to tweet while having a major heart attack.

In what could have been his last tweet, political reporter Tommy Christopher wrote on Twitter, “I gotta be me. Live tweeting my own heart attack. Beat that.”

Christopher’s only regret is that he wasn’t wittier.

“I could have at least said like ‘I’m alive tweeting…for now,’” said Christopher. “Eventually though my hands were shaking and I couldn’t tweet anymore. I didn’t want to alarm anybody so I just said, ‘I’m gonna take a break now.’”

The reporter of Mediaite is still tweeting. He’s in stable condition, but he is scheduled to have double bypass surgery.
