Report analyzes hunt for Tampa officers’ killer

May 4th, 2011 by Staff

TAMPA (AP) – Tampa police are releasing a report that analyzes the massive manhunt last year for the suspect accused of gunning down two police officers during a traffic stop.

Police officials said they’ll make the independent review public during a news conference Tuesday.

The four-day dragnet for suspect Dontae Morris was the largest in Tampa police history.

Morris is charged in the slayings of Tampa officers David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab, both 31. They were killed early on June 29 during a routine traffic stop. Morris eventually surrendered.
