Huntsville, AL (WAFF) - A gospel radio personality in Huntsville could face four life sentences if convicted on charges of sodomy and sexual abuse.

24-year-old Marcus Pierre Jackson is in the Madison County Jail.

Huntsville Police said Jackson’s alleged victim was his friend’s 9-year-old son.

Investigators said it happened several times over the course of a year.

The child told an adult, who then told the boy’s mother.

WAFF-48′s Legal Analyst Mark McDaniel spoke to WAFF 48 News about the severity of the charges Jackson faces.

“Sodomy is deviant sexual intercourse that when a person has sex with another person by use of their mouth or anus. Sex abuse is any touching for sexual gratification of that person,” said McDaniel.

Police charged Jackson with four counts of sodomy and two counts of sex abuse.

McDaniel said, by law, the counts represent the number of times the child claims the sexual incident occurred.

Jackson volunteered his time at WDJL Love 1000 as a Christian DJ.

McDaniel said if Jackson is convicted his next stop will be prison.

“He has ten counts or four class A felonies. If convicted, minimum 10 years each count, maximum…four life sentences for this,” said McDaniel.

If this case goes to trial, the child could be called to testify.
