Police: Paris Hilton Says Purse with Cocaine Was Not Hers
www.seattlepi.com – Following Paris Hilton’s Las Vegas arrest on cocaine possession charges over the weekend, the socialite says the purse containing less than a gram of cocaine was not hers, according to a police report obtained by The Associated Press.
“She told me the purse was not hers, that she had borrowed it from a friend,” Lt. Dennis Flynn was quoted as saying in the report.

Though Hilton denied she owned a baggie containing 0.8 grams of cocaine, she did acknowledge that the money, credit cards and a broken tablet of the prescription asthma medication Albuterol in the purse were hers, according to police.
Hilton, whose TV credits include My New BFF and The Simple Life, was stopped late Friday after police officers detected what they thought to be marijuana smoke coming from the vehicle that was being driven by a friend. The heiress was arrested on cocaine possession charges shortly after.
The 29-year-old celebrity faces a felony drug possession charge that would get her probation if convicted. Her arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 27, a Clark County Court spokeswoman told TVGuide.com.
An e-mail to Hilton’s rep was not immediately returned.
