New “American Idol” judges revealed

September 23rd, 2010 by Staff

Source: The News Chronicle — “American Idol” announced on Wednesday the new panel of judges for its upcoming 10th season.
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and singer-actress Jennifer Lopez are set to join Randy Jackson, after 3 of last season’s judges: Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi left the show over the season break.
The change has been getting a lot of mixed reactions from fans and avid viewers of the reality singing competition. There are some who question the abilities of the rock legend and the Latina pop singer when it comes to seeing real and raw talent, while there are also some who believe that both musicians’ experience and success in the industry make them qualified to sit on the seats left behind by Cowell, Abdul, DeGeneres and DioGuardi.
Jackson, the only original Idol judge remaining, said, “Season 10 is like the remix. It is like a new beginning for what ‘Idol’ is. These two are so talented…I think it worked out the best it ever could.”
“American Idol” season 10 is scheduled to air starting January 12, 2011 on Fox.
