Naples woman accused of assaulting pregnant daughter
NAPLES: Deputies say a 40-year-old woman assaulted her pregnant daughter during an argument over a cat Friday.
Mary Elizabeth Phillips, of 3652 Hibiscus Ave., was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery on a Pregnant Victim.
Phillips became angry when she realized her daughter Amber Phillips brought home a cat Friday evening, according to a sheriff’s report.
As the two argued, Mary grabbed her daughter’s shoulders and then slammed her against a wall, according to witnesses.
Amber, who’s four months pregnant, was not injured, according to the report.
Mary was arrested and taken to the Naples Jail Center for booking.
