WEST UNION, Ohio —WEST UNION, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say four people found dead at a rural southern Ohio home were related to the man suspected of killing them.

Twenty-seven-year-old Randle Lee Roberts II died Saturday in the shootout about a half hour after a girl found the bodies of her relatives in a home near West Union, about 95 miles southwest of Columbus.

The Adams County sheriff’s office says the dead included 68-year-old George Stephens, the grandfather of Roberts’ wife. The others were 46-year-old Sonja Stephens, 34-year-old Kendra Stephens and her 11-year-old daughter, Harley. Kendra Stephens’ 8-year-old daughter was in the home but was not killed.

The sheriff’s office says Roberts had stayed at the home for a couple months, apparently because he was a burglary suspect in central Ohio and there were warrants for him.
