Audio: Man Falls From Balcony
A 26-year-old Illinois man who fell four stories from a hotel balcony in St. Pete Beach is in fair condition, as of late Wednesday. Police say David Senior had been drinking before the fall.

“Generally the common denominator is that alcohol plays a factor in these incidents,” said Deputy Chief Dean Horianopoulos. He said when he got the call that someone had fallen, he immediately thought the worst.
Senior fell from the 6th floor of the Grand Plaza Hotel. Police say he was sitting on the railing or holding onto it and lost his grip. He landed on a concrete overhang.
