Hulk Hogan, the professional wrestler whose real name is Terry Bollea, has reached a settlement with cereal manufacturer Post Foods LLC, according to his attorney Joseph W. Bain.
Bollea filed a lawsuit against the company in May, claiming the company was using his likeness without his consent in an advertisement for Cocoa Pebbles.
The “Cocoa Smashdown” ad featured a blond-haired wrestler with a championship belt and Fu Manchu mustache that bore a striking resemblance to Hogan and was produced without Hogan’s knowledge or consent, according to the suit.
The terms of the settlement are confidential, Bain said. But, in accordance to the agreement, the commercial is no longer being aired, and the lawsuit was dismissed Monday, Bain said.
“Terry is happy to have it favorably resolved,” Bain said.
