Gloucester Man Attacked on Halloween

GLOUCESTER (WTVR)- The Gloucester man attacked Halloween night is talking about what happened and his alleged attacker.

Nathan Matter says “I thought I was being robbed. I didn’t know who it was.”

Matter is recovering after being ambushed Halloween night by who he thought was a trick-or-treater.

He opened his door to someone wearing a Michael Myers mask from the Halloween movies and police say it wasn’t a stranger, it was Matter’s ex-girlfriend who he had just broken up with a week earlier.

Police say she maced him, forced her way into his home, and then hit him in the head with a baseball bat.

Matter says, “It was very unbelievable to me. I didn’t think she was that type of person. An adult who had a lot of things going for her and I didn’t see why she would want to mess it up.”

Now 32-year-old Angela Louise Heart is charged with aggravated malicious wounding and breaking and entering.
