LEHIGH ACRES: A middle school girl reported a stranger danger incident at her bus stop Wednesday.

The Lehigh Acres Middle School student told a school resource officer it happened on Monday, but she didn’t want to tell her mom.

The girl said she was at Ivan Avenue and 13th Street SW around 5 p.m. when she saw a black, four-door car.

A man inside reportedly got out and accosted her in some way – deputies are not releasing the details about what the man did.

The girl reported she kicked him several times until he let go of her and she ran away.

The girl’s mother, Emmanualla Blanc, says she is thankful her daughter wasn’t hurt. But she says the girl is still very frightened.

“Everyday I talk to God to protect my kids and I believe God protects my kids and family,” she said.

Ciera Foxworth lives near the bus stop and says her six-year-old son rides the elementary school bus.

She said she was pretty upset after hearing about what had taken place.

“I don’t even know if I’m going to let him get on the bus. I think I’m going to take him to school because what if it happens to him? Just cause he’s a boy doesn’t like, ex him out,” she said.

She and other neighbors we spoke to Thursday say they’d like to start a neighborhood watch.

“I’d like to join because this – like I said – this is just crazy. Kids? It’s just crazy,” said Foxworth.

Blanc says the bus driver will now be dropping the girl off in front of her house.

Deputies don’t have any suspects in the case.
