Daily links: Charlie Sheen ‘taking sobriety seriously’ and hires ‘sobriety coach’
Source: Buffalo News — Charlie Sheen is taking his sobriety seriously, a friend of Sheen tells People magazine. The embarrassing incident at The Plaza Hotel last week has given Sheen a new commitment to stay sober, so much so that he has hired a “sobriety coach,” who has moved into his home and accompanies the actor to the set of his sitcom “Two and a Half Men.”
“Charlie is taking his sobriety seriously,” a friend told People. “He is taking it one day at a time. He’s sober, back at work and moving forward.” Sheen has put the incident behind him, as well as his recent filing for divorce, and is back to business on his show.
A source on the set tells People, “The [hotel] incident seems like a non-issue and nothing has changed on the set. He received a really warm welcome, and now it’s all business as usual.” Even with all of the bad publicity, Sheen’s show continues to pull in high ratings. Ratings for “Two and a Half Men” spiked this week, in fact, attracting more than 13 million viewers.
