Bubba – Your dead on, we only have ourselves to blame on this one. No one wants to hear about personal accountability when it has to do with them. Keep up the good work.

Excellent. We should be able to voice our concerns about our decisions our elected officials do and they should be held accountable to the people in their state (in this case). I retired from the military after 20 years and two wars and hoped that the America I fought for still allowed us to be able to freely speak up when we see wrong.

Are you kidding? I get the jobs concern and money into tthe economy but you are missing something. Why should the federal govt have to bail us out? We the people bitch about taxes and while i’d agree to your comment on not giving the money to California, we shouldn’t just spend money because people dont have jobs specifically for a system that will not be used.

I cannot defend Scott as i do not know him. But he was successful in running a business. He obvously did some things that he never wants to discuss in public but did he or didn’t he pay the fines? Sounds to me like he covered his obligations.

This is great 10 news! Bubba adds spice with the truth. Punk Scott has to go somehow, before he destroys Florida. KEEP BUBBA on the news!!!

  12. JEFF

I think you are dead wrong, yes it is 2.5 billion but the florida tax payers would have to foot the remaining cost of at least 1.2 billion, if there are no overruns, we can do much more with 1.2 billion in these times than a high speed rail!!

Bubba ditch the Harry Carey glasses and the baseball hat. Quit trying to hawk your merchandise and where something presentable on TV. It’s tough to take a guy seriously when he is wearing linda ronstadt’s sunglasses indoors on TV.

  14. Joe Dirt

Fat ass piece of shit. Just shut up.

Bubba, I love your show, but I cant back you on this. . while your heart is in the right place, HSR just doesnt make sense now.

Say I want to go to UCF- the train is going to take me to the station in Orlando, and then what, walk, rent a car? Nobodies walking from the train station to thier destination in the summer heat. .Our cities here just arent like they are up north where you have things within blocks of eachother with subways below ground taking you from one end of town to the other. May aswell of just driven in the first place. .

As for the jobs- there are very very few companies that have the certifications, equipment and experience to build such a train. . . they will probably be from out of state and bringing thier own employees. .and if not they will more than lijely be hiring illegals (mexicans with fake SS# and ID) to work on this new high speed rail train. . Next time you drive along road construction be sure to look and see whos shoveling asphalt and what race the crew is- everyone ive seen here in Sarasota is mexican, with a white guy sitting in a loader supervising.

As for the TV segment- I think you did pretty good. Like it was talked about earlier you look uncomfortable and it might help to change your wardrobe as the caller on the radioio show pointed out your sunglasses. that along with the hat and jacket. you look like a black Grimace from the Mcdonalds characters. Youre a good looking dude, dont cover it up.

10 NEWS WAS VERY SMART IN THEIR DECISION TO ALIGN THERSELVES WITH BUBBA, HE HAS A HUGE AND LOYAL FOLLOWING. BUBBA HAS ALWAYS PROVEN TIME AND TIME AGAIN THAT HE IS NOT AFRAID TO TELL IT LIKE IT IS, WHICH IS WHAT THE VEIWING AUDIENCE REALLY NEEDS AND RARELY GETS ANYWHERE ELSE.

Too bad we folks in the Orlando market cannot see this! What a hoot, love the shades Bubba. Hey, don’t leave us here in O’do with the likes of the monsters….

  18. Jeff

Give’em Hell Bubba! Don’t let the bastards wear you down.

  19. Swanny

I agree that Scott is an idiot but I also agree that this light rail system is a complete waste of time and money that we really don’t have. No one is going to use the rail system accept the Haitian’s that work at the amusement parks. Spend the money on bringing our men and women back home or an end to this senseless war.

  20. Keith

It’s great that you’re not afraid to take on the big issues and say the things that we’re all thinking, but don’t have the platform to. It’s refreshing that 10 has given you the opportunity to speak, no other media would even think of touching on these sensitive topics.

    Bubba Army!

  21. Justin

I don’t think any of you realize that the $2.5 billion that was ear marked for Florida rail is earmarked for high speed rail NO MATTER WHAT OR WHERE. For those of you somewhat literate people here in the south, land of people who still thinking were fighting the civil war ill explain so even you can understand. We turned the money down, now California has $2.5 billion and they are building high speed rail and if you think people in Florida wont walk from a Rail station to their destination because of heat, whatever. Look at California. They are notorious for not moving an inch without their cars, so who ever used that as a reason, it’s lame and we lost out of 24,000 jobs and like someone else said. I guess all 24,000 jobs will be done by illegal Mexicans. Yeah some illegals will get by, just like they do everyday. Excuses, Excuses, Excuses.

If they build the light rail it should go all the way to Clearwater, somewhere close to the beach. Why do people come to Florida, Disney and the beach.
