At 12:10 pm ET on Sunday, June 28, WTSP-TV Tampa reported: “Tampa 10 Connects has just learned that Billy Mays has died at the age of 50.” And where did they learn it? From our posting at 10:06am on Sunday morning. That’s right – Bubba the Love Sponge® was the first to learn of and post the news that popular TV pitchman Billy Mays had died. Just check the time stamps of all the “breaking news” stories on Google. We had the news before the news was news. The entire staff extends our condolences to his family.

We all know TMZ and The Public Figurine were johnny come latelys on this one. Wish I could have heard the show today to hear if you ripped the troll a new one over this. He is just a pathetic poor attempt at resembling a human being.
