RUSKIN – A former branch manager at a local credit union is accused of using his position to get loans for friends.

Pastor Donnell Williams founded the Church of God and Praise on Nebraska Avenue in Tampa.

Detectives say he also swindled the Ruskin branch of the Suncoast School Federal Credit Union out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

They say he got loans for friends by faking the applications.

Detectives say he also stole people’s identities to do it.

Williams is also charged with money laundering. Four other people have been arrested, including some of William’s church members
