911 Operator Under Investigation

DETROIT (WXYZ) - A 911 operator is under investigation for the way she responded to a little girl’s frantic call to get help for her dying mother.
The 8-year-old called 911 begging for help to save her mother’s life. Police have released a portion of that 911 call.

Detroit Police are asking for the public’s help in finding Derrick Smith. Police say he is behind the double murder of a woman and her boyfriend on Glastonbury in Detroit. The woman’s two daughters ages eight and six were in the home hiding at the time of the shooting.
A first degree murder warrant has been issued for Smith’s arrest. A second, unnamed suspect is also wanted in connection with the murders.
