www2.counton2.com – 500+ show up with the hopes of landing one of 25 jobs at Robert Bosch. The company held a job fair at the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston.

Back in December, Bosch announced plans to add 300 jobs in the future. The job fair is designed to find 25 of those jobs for the company.

We talked to a number of people who are looking for work for various reasons. Renny Tayao told us, “I’m trying to find a job. Just got laid off on the 27th of May.”

The jobs available at this job fair do require special skills.

Jim Sheehan, the Recruting Manager for Bosch, says, “We are looking for highly skilled workers. We’re looking for individuals with experience in electrical and mechanical trades. Unfortunately with the 500, maybe one in five have been qualified for what we’re looking for today.”

If you or someone you know is interested in the positions, the job fair takes place again tomorrow from 5PM-9PM. The Charleston Area Convention Center is located next to the North Charleston Coliseum.

Officials say the company is also hiring other positions as well. You can find those on the company website at the link to your right on this page.
