2-Year-Old Helps Mom Deliver Baby

www.foxnews.com – When emergency services personnel didn’t arrive in time to help Bobbye Favazza deliver her baby, Favazza’s 2-year-old son Jeremiha Taylor stepped in, The Commercial Appeal reported.

Favazza, 27, of Olive Branch, Tenn., was scheduled to deliver her fourth child in the hospital — via C-section — on Dec. 6, but baby Kamron had other plans: Favazza went into labor on Friday, Nov. 13, although she didn’t realize it at the time.

After laboring all night, Favazza called her daughter around 8:30 a.m.. Her daughter then called 911.

Meanwhile, Favazza started bleeding. Jeremiha remained calm, getting his mother a towel, without being told.

“It happened so fast,” Favazza said. “My water broke, and the baby came two to three minutes later. I just pushed and (Jeremiha) caught him.”

In order to open the door for the arriving firefighters, Favazza held her newborn with the umbilical cord still attached.

Mother and baby finally arrived to the hospital, where they were each given a clean bill of health.
