MILWAUKEE – The story of 100 year old Louis Speelman is getting national attention. The Walmart greeter was shoved to the ground by an angry customer as she checked to make sure the woman paid for items in her shopping cart.
Lois went to the hospital. She suffered pain and bruising and a cut her elbow. But, Lois is back and home and has a message for her friends at Walmart, “The customers, just tell em I’m doing fine and I will be back!”
So who would do something like this to Lois? Police arrested 37 year old Kai Metcalf for the crime. Reports show she moved Lois’ arm away from her face causing her to fall to the ground.
TODAY’S TMJ4 went to Metcalf’s home to get a comment but she refused to answer. She said “no comment” over the phone and hung up. Metcalf is expected to be charged with battery to an elderly person.
Lois didn’t want to talk about the angry customer accused of doing such a cruel thing to her but when she talked about going back to work it brought a smile to her face.
Reporter: “They can knock you down but you’re going to get right back up? Lois: “You better believe it! I’m not quitting!”
