St. Pete woman arrested for using taser on toddler

Braswell posted a bond of $5,000 and was released from the Pinellas County Jail late Saturday.


(BTLS Staff) ST. PETERSBURG – A 30-year old Pinellas County woman is facing child abuse charges for using a taser on a toddler.

Ramona Braswell was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on Saturday. She was released after posting a bond of $5,000.

According to a St. Petersburg Police Department report the suspect used an electric taser on the three-year-old child causing visible injuries.

Braswell is no stranger to law enforcement. She has been arrested on four previous occasions on a variety of charges including retail theft and fraud charges.
The suspect was taken into custody by SPPD officers just before 6 pm at her home in the 2800 block of 5th St. South.
