St. Pete man killed in three-vehicle crash in Pinellas Park

The fatal crash occurred just before 11 pm Saturday night.


(BTLS Staff) PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – A 36-year-old St. Petersburg man died Saturday night from injuries sustained in a three-vehicle crash in Pinellas Park.

Casey Hahn was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The incident occurred just before 11 pm at the intersection of 66th St. and 78th Ave.

According to a Pinellas Park Police Department report Lexi Lambert, a 16-year-old Pinellas Park resident, was stopped at a red light in her 2008 Dodge Charger when for unknown reasons she ventured into the intersection.

Her vehicle was hit by a pair of motorcycles traveling south. Hahn’s bike struck the left side of the Charger and he was ejected onto the roadway. He was not wearing a helmet the report states.

Michael Kerr, a 35-year-old St. Petersburg resident, suffered non, life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. His motorcycle also struck the left side of Lambert’s vehicle.

The roadway was shutdown for several hours as investigators collected evidence and spoke to witnesses. No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
