Sarasota Police seek information on gun shop vandals

The suspects were asked to leave the store on December 23rd according to a SPD report.

(BTLS Staff) SARASOTA, Fla. – Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating four young suspects who attempted to gain access to a local gun shop on two different days last month.

The incidents occurred on December 23rd and 25th at the Bullet Hole at 330 South Orange Ave.

According to a SPD report the suspects broke at least two windows and did approximately $1,000 in damage to the building. No weapons were taken.

Investigators believe the suspects are teenagers. On the day of the first incident they entered the store at approximately 3:30 pm but were asked to leave because they did not have an adult with them,

Just after 7 pm officers were dispatched to the business in response to an alarm. A center window on the north side of the building was almost broken out when they arrived but the suspects were nowhere to be found.

Broken glass was found inside and outside the structure.

Two days later SPD officers were dispatched to the Bullet Hole again after 7 pm in response to an alarm call. A side window had been broken and another window was tampered with the report states.

Surveillance cameras in and around the store captured images of the suspects.

Suspect #1 is an unknown juvenile male last seen riding a dark-colored bicycle. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and shorts.

Suspect #2 is a white male last carrying a backpack. He concealed his face with a shirt or cloth and was wearing dark shoes with white soles. He may have been shirt-less and was carrying what appears to be a piece of concrete.

Suspect #3 is described as being a black male and was last seen wearing a white mask. He was wearing a dark-colored t-shirt, black shorts with white and dark high-top sneakers. He was carrying a backpack with designs on the straps.

Suspect #4 is a white male last seen wearing black pants, a long-sleeve dark-colored shirt, black bandanna, a beanie and black shoes.
