Sarasota PD on lookout for convenience store robbery suspect
(BTLS Staff) SARASOTA, Fla. – Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect.
An unknown male made off with less than $100 from a convenience store on North Washington Blvd. Last Friday.
According to a Sarasota Police Department report the incident occurred at approximately 1:30 pm. The clerk triggered a silent alarm by the suspect had fled by the time officers arrived.
The report states the man entered the store and demanded cash. He implied he had a weapon but it was not seen by the store employee.
Investigators say the suspect’s face was covered but he appeared to be a white male in his mid to late 20s. He was wearing an olive green, hooded sweatshirt, a white t-shirt and black pants.
His face was covered by a pink bandanna. The suspect stands approximately 5’11” tall and has a thin build.
