Police say Sarasota man was exchanging child porn with someone in Argentina

Horner, 34, was arrested in January and is being held without bond.


(BTLS Staff) SARASOTA, Fla. – Investigators with the Sarasota Police Department have arrested a 34-year-old man on capital sexual battery charges.

Danny Ray Horner is being held without bond at the Sarasota County Jail. He was arrested on January 21st based on a tip detectives received from the Department of Homeland Security.

According to a SPD report the suspect was exchanging pornographic images of children engaged in sexual activity with someone in Argentina. The investigation also revealed Horner was doing the same with contacts in West Virginia and Australia.

When he was originally questioned by police Horner became visibly upset and started to cry.

The suspect is also facing sexual assault, child cruelty and battery charges.

Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
