Police: Fla. woman threw dog poop at neighbor during argument
(Sun-Sentinel) BOCA RATON, Fla. – Amy Goldberg told her neighbor she’d had enough of her crap.
Specifically, Goldberg, 57, said she was tired of her neighbor’s dog defecating in her yard, but the way Goldberg expressed her anger resulted in her arrest, according to Boca Raton police.
According to the arrest report, Goldberg’s neighbor was walking her dog just before 3 pm. Wednesday in the 4200 block of Northwest 60th Drive. The woman’s dog did its business on Goldberg’s yard, and Goldberg came out to confront her about it.
The neighbor, 67, said she was going to clean it up, but Goldberg was yelling at her, according to the report. Frustrated, the neighbor told Goldberg if she was going to yell, Goldberg could clean it up herself.
And that’s where things got messy, police said.
Goldberg grabbed a plastic baggie, scooped up the feces, chased after her neighbor and threw the poop at her. She then went up to her neighbor and smeared the poop on her neighbor’s face and arms, according to the report.
Goldberg told police she threw the poop in her neighbor’s general direction, but never touched her. She said her neighbor habitually lets her dogs poop in her yard, and Wednesday, Goldberg said she saw no attempt by her neighbor to clean up the excrement.
She accused her neighbor of smearing the feces on herself to frame Goldberg for the attack. She added that her neighbor has had it out for her for quite a while, according to the report.
Goldberg is charged with assault on an elderly person. She was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail Wednesday and released Thursday.
