Golec, 52, is being held on a bond of $1 million.

(Fox 8 Cleveland) AKRON, Ohio – Bond was set at $1 million for an Akron father accused of stabbing his son to death.
Kevin Golec, 52, faces charges of murder and felony domestic violence.

In a 911 call, Golec told dispatchers that his son, Brian, 22, was in a cult and that a group of people came and attacked him.

But Akron police say Golec is the one who attacked his son during an argument at their home on Inman Street Friday night. Brian died at the scene.

According to his obituary, Brian was a drummer in a local band.

A GoFundMe.com account has been set up to help his family pay for the funeral. For that fund, click here.

Kevin Golec was appointed an attorney in court Tuesday. He is set to appear again in court on Wednesday
