The second season of the series garnered 12 prime-time Emmy nominations.

(NY Daily News) NEW YORK – The third season of “Orange Is The New Black” will drop June 12, Netflix said Monday.
The critically praised series, which stars Taylor Schilling, will include 14 episodes and no major wardrobe changes.

The second season scored 12 prime-time Emmy nominations and further advanced the growing presence of television shows that aren’t on traditional television.

Season 2 of “Orange” featured an ongoing series of tense dramas and the transfer of Schilling’s Piper Chapman character to a prison in Virginia.

It ended with the nasty inmate Vee Parker (Lorraine Toussaint) escaping, only to be run down by a van driven by fellow inmate Rosa (Barbara Rosenblat), who had just been told she only had a few weeks to live.

Rosa was driving the van because a sympathetic fellow inmate, Morello (Yael Stone), figured out a way for her to get out and have a last taste of freedom before she died.

Netflix also said the new series “Between” would drop in May, the new series “Sense8″ on June 5 and “Wet Hot American Summer” on July 17.
