(NY Daily News) BARCO, N.C. – A North Carolina high school baseball coach was suspended after he forced his players to spit on his face in a bizarre punishment for cutting practice.
Justin Hill allegedly became angry after nine players skipped training at Currituck County High School on April 3, WAVY reported.
He demanded they spit onto his head at the following practice, on April 6. It was apparently his bizarre way of “calling their tardiness disrespectful.”
Hill, who was a member of the Currituck graduating class of 1996, was reportedly suspended for one game.
He has since returned to his coaching duties, and apologized to the players.
