Musician Chris Brown suspected in Las Vegas casino beating

The incident occurred early Monday morning at the Palms Casino Resort.


(Fox5Vegas.com) LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Hip-hop musician Chris Brown is a suspect in an attack that happened early Monday morning at the Palms Casino Resort, according to police.

Las Vegas Metro police said they were called to Sunrise Hospital at 3:42 am. to investigate someone who had been beaten.

According to investigators, the victim said he was playing a game of basketball at the off-Strip resort when he got into an argument. The argument escalated, and he was punched by Brown and another man with Brown.

Investigators said the victim suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, and took himself to the hospital.
Brown was not available to speak to them when officers arrived at the casino, investigators said.

Police said Brown has the option of signing a citation issued for a battery charge, or his case could be given to the Clark County District Attorney for prosecution.
