Missing Holiday woman found tangled in mangroves

HOLIDAY, Fla. – Kathleen Shino, 62, reported missing Sunday, was found Tuesday late afternoon. The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office says she was tangled deep in mangroves, and immersed in mud up to her neck.

Pasco County Dispatch received a call from a concerned citizen who heard a faint cry for help coming from nearby mangroves along the shore of a lake.

Her family reported her missing on Sunday .

Fire Rescue had to clear away the brush with a chainsaw to reach her. Shino was taken to a nearby medical facility where she is listed in stable condition.

It is unclear how the woman ended up in the mangroves.
