Charlotte deputies seek information on business burglary suspect

(BTLS Staff) PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – Detectives with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a burglary suspect.

The unidentified man broke into several businesses in Charlotte Harbor early Monday.

According to a Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office report several shop owners in the 2900 block of Harper Ave. called deputies after discovering their establishments had been broken into.

Some of the businesses exhibited signs that someone had attempted to pry the doors open. Employees with Reynoso Tires told deputies several items were moved around the store and two air guns were missing.

Surveillance video obtained from a nearby parking lot showed a white male using a pry bar as he attempted to enter a business. He arrived on the scene in a white Ford Expedition the report states.

The suspect was wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
