Charlotte Co. deputies seek Radio Shack grand theft suspect

(BTLS Staff) PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – Authorities in Charlotte County are asking for the public’s help in identifying a grand theft suspect.

The crime occurred on Sunday at the Radio Shack location in the 3200 block of Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte just after 1:30 pm. The unidentified white male walked out of the business without paying for a Uniden Digital Scanner.

According to a Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office report the suspect was wearing a black t-shirt, blue plaid shorts, a black baseball cap and white sneakers.

Investigators say the man concealed the item as he walked out the door. A Radio Shack employee followed him but lost track of the suspect as he walked towards a nearby grocery store.
