Argument over food leads to murder-suicide in Pasco County

Deputies responded to the scene just after 6 pm Wednesday.

(BTLS Staff) HUDSON, Fla. – An argument over food triggered a murder suicide in Hudson Wednesday night.

A 13-year-old boy shot his six-year-old brother, his 16-year-old brother before turning the gun on himself.

According to a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office report the oldest boy survived the incident. He was transported to a local hospital with non, life-threatening injuries.

Deputies responded to a residence in the 16000 block of Bachmann Ave. just after 6 pm in response to a shots fired call. The youngest boys were pronounced dead at the scene.

“This is tough on us as law enforcement,” explained Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco. “It’s tough on the community and for the friends of the two boys. I ask our community for prayers [for all involved.]”

Investigators say the boys lived at the home with their mother and an older brother who were not home at the time of the shooting. It is not yet known who owned the gun used by the teen.

The names of the victims is being withheld at this time and so far no charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
