Amendment II

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

WHAT IS THE TRUE DEFINITION OF MILITIA, THE GOVERMENT MAY HAVE YOU THINK THAT IT IS JUST OUR MILITARY FORCES.... MAKE SURE YOU ARE EDUCATED
The term militia is commonly used today to refer to a military force composed of ordinary citizens[1] to provide defense, emergency law enforcement, or paramilitary service, in times of emergency without being paid a regular salary or committed to a fixed term of service. It is a polyseme with multiple distinct but related meanings. Legal and historical meanings of militia include:

Defense activity or service, to protect a community, its territory, property, and laws.[2]
The entire able-bodied population of a community, town, county, or state, available to be called to arms.
A subset of these who may be legally penalized for failing to respond to a call-up.
A subset of these who actually respond to a call-up, regardless of legal obligation.
A private, non-government force, not necessarily directly supported or sanctioned by its government.
An official reserve army, composed of citizen soldiers. Called by various names in different countries such as; the Army Reserve, National Guard, or State Defense Forces.
The national police forces in several former communist states such as the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact countries, but also in the non-aligned SFR Yugoslavia. The term was inherited in Russia, and other former CIS countries. See: Militia (Police).
In France the equivalent term "Milice" has become tainted due to its use by notorious collaborators with Nazi Germany.[citation needed]
A select militia is composed of a small, non-representative portion of the population[3], often politicized.[citation needed]

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
bold

NOW WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN YOU ASK?
YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OWN A GUN NO MATTER WHAT THE COST, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT BY THE DEFINITION OF MILITIA THAT IF YOU NEIGHBOR IS UNDER ATTACK IN THEIR OWN HOME TO GO AND HELP THEM UNDER FIREARM FORCE, THIS WOULD BE AN ACT OF MILITIA, IF YOU GOVERMENT GOES ARY YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO STAND UP FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR FELLOW PEOPLE AND FIGHT ,BARING ARMS, FOR THE RIGHT IN THE CONSTITUTION AND THE RIGHT OF WE THE PEOPLE......

SO NOW WHY DO YOU THINK THE GOVERNMENT WANTS TO TAKE AWAY YOUR RIGHT TO HAVE GUNS?
IS IT BECAUSE OF ALL THE "CRIME" WITH GUNS?
(IF YOU TAKE AWAY GUNS THE CRIME WITH THEM WILL ONLY GET WORSE, THIS HAS BEEN PROVEN IN OTHER COUNTRIES, PEOPLE WILL GET THEM NO MATTER WHAT THE COST IF THEY REALLY WANT THEM,)
WELL THEN WHY DO THEY WANT TO TAKE AWAY OUR GUNS YOU ASK?
THINK ABOU TIT LONG AND HARD...... IF YOU DONT LIKE WHAT THE GOVERNMENT IS DOING, AND YOU DONT HAVE THE RIGHT TO OWN YOUR WEAPON, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO STAND UP TO IT IF WE NEED A REVOLUTION?
WITH A STICK? I DONT THINK SO......
THIS IS WHY THEY ARE PUSHING SO HARD TO TAKE GUNS OUT OF THE HANDS OF AMERICANS.... EVEN THOSE WHO HUNT FOR FOOD INSTEAD OF BUYING FROM THE GROCERY, EVEN THOSE WHO ARE FORMER MILITARY AND JUST LIKE TO GO TO THE RANGE AND SHOOT....
PLEASE LOOK AT THE UNDERLYING MOTIVES BEHIND..... AND RE READ THE FACTS ABOVE FROM YOUR CONSTITUTION AND THE REAL DEFINITION OF A MILITIA

Don't be offended when no one replies to your post.
It's only because almost everyone here agrees.

I am pleased to announce that the Canadian parliament has passed the second reading of a bill to kill our hated long gun registry that we have had shoved down our throats since 1985 by the liberals..If they succesfully vote again to kill the gun registry in the third reading it will become law and the registry will be abolished..A great victory..

So, BubbaChick, what you are saying in short is "Support the Constitution and all of its Amendments, fully and without reservation, EXCEPT Amendment 24 Sections One and Two."?

Just wondering.

lol... no SWMP.... I support all the amendments and constitution.... evern the protection of the right to vote..... I was merly joking around... Just wish more people were educated...
Its frustrating that a high majority of americans not only arent educated enought to make a good decision on election day but those same uneducated people dont know their own rights as americans and us citizens...
Its ALL just so frustrating...
But SWMP.... I do support ALL amendments and rights of the american people as stated in the constitution.....

I thought there was more to being an American than government compliance. If I'm not mistaken, much of the American spirit is rooted in liberty.

My decision on election day was adequate and well thought out. It certainly didn't exacerbate our problems. Yet looking back on it I wish I would have made a slightly different choice (not that it would have mattered much).

The lesser of two evils is still evil (whomever is the actual lesser is still up for debate). Common sense, say it!

AND I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU PRAX... not saying that anyone on this forum isnt well informed. I am simply just saying a lot of americans vote just to vote "R" or "D"

Common Sense is an awesome book! I loved it.
It is totally true... Since when do the americans have to choose between the "lesser of 2 evils?"
We shouldnt have to
