The churches were designed to be the charity in our society that is one of the main reasons they were given a tax exemption but they are too busy with missions in El Salvador, Africa, India etc to worry or care about their brothers and sister right here in the good old USA.

I have to say this though...Up to that point before 2 planes crahed into two buildings in Manhattan and made three buildings collapse for the first time in world history....I was with you guys!!..I was!!......Up till that point a modern building that size has never collapsed due to fire...America made history that day...in the bullshit category....That is all I have to say...not even getting into the rest of the 9-11 bullshit.....That is where we part...

Aaarrrrrggggg....there is no, none, nada, zip, zero, mention of "separation of church and state" anywhere in our Constitution. The First Amendment clearly states "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

So if you want to start a "religion" worshiping left handed, androgynous hermaphrodites with an undesended left testicle and a superfluous nipple then the Constitution covers that.

Besides, and I have mentioned this before, if you DO have a "separation of church and state" then the "state" will have no authority over the "church" and those child molesting priests we are all so fond of. After all they would be "separated" and untouchable by secular law.

One could wrap the armor of "religion" around themselves and pretty much run any scam they wanted to without any redress by private citizens or the government. And we see enough of that now.

Personally I think that the "religions" in this country already get away with enough to make most want to puke. Huge tracts of land that are tax free. Huge incomes that are tax free. Huge businesses that are tax free. And all under the misguided belief in some none existent "separation of church and state".

We all know that Jesus said "Render unto Cesear that which is Cesear's." He never said "Fuck Cesear out of his taxes and pass the burden on to the schmuck that has to work twelve hours a day just to stay in debt."

The reason the "Church" has been tax free in this country for so long is it was tradition for it to take up the burden of caring for the folks that were hitting hard times. This was called...wait for it...wait for it...CHARITY!

Now our society has made charity mandatory through our huge and ungainly social services.

You see, back in the day, if you were a real social asshole who did not try to work, acted the fool, stole, spent your days in an inebriated haze, hurt others for enjoyment, ran in gangs, caused nothing but hate and discontent then, when the plate was passed to help you out, NO ONE GAVE A SHIT AND YOU GOT NOTHING.

Now you can just head off to the local Social Services and get paid for the same behavior because some wise ass started to scream "separation of church and state", and wanted your vote, and decided to lay the burden of your living on your neighbor whether he wants to help you or not.
