March 17th, 2011 by Staff

www.wtsp.com – Radio show personality Bubba the Love Sponge® is sounding off in his commentary segment on 10 News about gambling laws in Florida.

There’s been talk recently of a bill to expand gambling in Florida. It’s reported that Governor Rick Scott will consider ending a ban on high-stakes games as part of his economic plan.

I love these segments; finally a person on the news that says what we are all thinking but have no delivery method except standing out in front of the mall on a box with a megaphone and people not listening to a word your saying because they think you are crazy. Bubba keep up the good work the only suggestion I have and for the life of me I can’t figure it out unless you got a nice severance package from Sirius. Why the hell do you have there logo on your shirt. I would like to see a Radio IO patch on your shirt instead of Sirius especially now as a stock holder.
Thanks Anthony Coppola aka Tony No Bologna

Bubba, most of the people that play the slots and gamble are over the age of 55. Just look at the Hardrock next time or on a cruise ship and see the people at the tables playing blackjack. It’s the legislators that are afraid to allow it and be the ones to be known as those who legalized gambling. I’m on your side; gambling should be legalized in FL it is a revenue maker and right now, only the Indians are making millions off us for the few casinos with legalized gambling in FL. We need to stop the monopoly of this money maker and allow independents come in to set up shop to open casinos in designated tourist areas and allow FL to tax them in order to make money and create jobs. Look at all the “arcade gaming” going on to get around the gambling rule. Instead of cash they get Visa gift cards and other items. It’s still gambling! The state is missing an incredible opportunity for economic growth in this tourist attracted state.
